Victory Living Word Church believed God to provide income generating activities that would enable us to become self-sufficient. The Lord made a way and we bought a two-acre parcel of land on which to build facilities for growing, processing and selling chickens. This land is in a different community (5-6 miles from our main church) and is suitable for such work. We made bricks and began construction of the chicken pens.
A lot of progress had been made in the construction of the chicken pens, and they are 75% completed. The first building phase included the foundation and walls for the first of two floors. We were able to construct a roof for the pens, fix the floors, install electricity and were able to buy 3,000 chicks: 2,000 chicks for eggs and 1,000 chicks for meat.

The second phase included the completion of the second story, installation of the door and window frames, an administrative space, and an apartment for the farm manager. We also installed equipment to manufacture the chicken feed ourselves, thus reducing overhead cost.
Presently we have approximately 4,000 chickens, now laying eggs and we have 1,500 chickens which are sold for meat. Our target is to have 10,000 chickens for eggs and 5,000 chickens for meat. We believe if this is achieved, we will be self-sufficient.
The profits from this project is used to:
- Plant new churches in different communities
- Purchase church properties and building
- Support the Children’s Program
- Meet the basic necessities for the ministers
- Pay the Church Utilities
- Pay Church workers
- Pay evangelism expenses (crusades, seminars, etc.)
